Te Tiriti o Waitangi

 The Tiriti of Waitangi

We learnt that the population in the late 1830s was 80,000.
The two main reasons for the drop in population was because of war and diseases.
The name of the main settlement in New Zealand at the the time was Russel/Koroaraka.
The missionaries were unhappy with what was happening in the town at the time was because of the alcohol.
The Te Tiriti o Waitangi was neglected because everyone was lighting the British towns on fire.

It's great that you completed this blog post and listed facts about Te Tiriti o Waitangi. You have recalled this information well and show a good understanding of our history.
In the first line, it would be helpful to add that you were writing about the Maori population as both Maori and European people lived in New Zealand.
In your final sentence, the treaty document was neglected because it was stored under a building for many years and suffered damage from water and rats.
    Keep up the good work.
